The Role:

AutoStore is seeking a highly skilled engineer with strong analytical capabilities to serve as Cube System Engineer. In this role, you’ll merge deep technical analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving across the AutoStore technology suite with field engineering work to ensure the success of AutoStore’s new product validation program. At AutoStore you’ll become an expert in all aspects of the cube solution (software and hardware), solve our most complex challenges in production environments, and enable the firm to drive new product innovation faster.

Key Responsibilities: 
Partner closely with our US validation partners, some of our most important partnerships. Ensure that they receive sterling service through upgrades and close monitoring. Align closely with them, with our supporting partners, and with other end-customers.

Analyze complex datasets and identify/report deviations with our high priority validation partners. Perform rigorous analysis in close collaboration with the Cube Success team in Norway.

Conduct advanced root cause analysis on system failures and performance issues

Analyze system logs, data sets, and diagnostic outputs to identify trends and anomalies. Set up complex analysis using tools as e.g., PowerBI

Field Operations & Support 
Perform on-site installation, commissioning, and maintenance of complex technical systems and equipment

Diagnose and resolve system issues in the field, ensuring minimal customer downtime

Provide technical support during deployments, upgrades, and service interventions

Collaborate with partners, customers and internal teams to ensure successful implementation/upgrading and operation

Regular travel to customer sites is expected

Key Qualifications: 
3–7+ years of experience in field engineering, technical support, or system engineering roles

Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across hardware and software with a complex product

Bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field

Willing to travel regularly to customer sites and to Norwegian offices

Technical Skills 
Experience with data analysis tools (e.g.,PowerBI)

Understanding of system architectures, networking, or control systems (depending on domain)

Ability to interpret logs, telemetry, and performance metrics

Familiarity with monitoring tools and diagnostic platforms

Experience with Databricks preferred
